Our Strategic Plan 2024-2034 emphasizes key priorities such as economic development, financial stability, infrastructure improvement, and community well-being. By focusing on these areas, we aim to enhance the quality of life for all community members while preserving the unique character and rich heritage that define Tyendinaga.

Tyendinaga is responsible for developing and maintaining a database for all of the Township’s assets, including roads, bridges, culverts, sidewalks, water, wastewater, stormwater, facilities, landfill, fleet, IT and equipment. This allows the Municipality to track, monitor and plan for our future needs and expenses.

In consideration of current and new legislation, municipalities were required to establish a Strategic Asset Management Policy based on approved levels of service and documented condition rating and risk assessments for all municipal assets by July 1, 2019.

The Township of Tyendinaga 2025 Asset Management Plan follows the format set out in the Building Together: Guide for Municipal Asset Management Plans and it has also been developed to be consistent with the requirements of Ontario Regulation 588/17 Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure (O. Reg. 588/17) with consideration for the Township’s Asset Management Strategy Policy. This Plan defines the current level of service for all core and non-core assets in compliance with asset management regulations.

The Township of Tyendinaga has developed a new Parks, Recreation & Trails Master Plan that will guide decision-making for improvements, programming, and events for the next 10 years!

Tyendinaga Township’s Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan will assist the Township in meeting energy related goals. The plan can help reduce energy usage and costs by implementing effective energy reduction strategies, managing energy retrofits, monitoring, and tracking the Township’s energy usage and introducing energy awareness programs to staff. By thinking globally and acting locally, current and future generations benefit.
