Keeping Warwick Township clean and sustainable is a collective effort. Whether you are looking for your weekly curbside collection schedule or need to drop off larger items, this page provides all the information you need to manage your household waste responsibly.

The Twin Creeks Environmental Centre (Landfill) is privately owned and operated by Waste Management. The Township of Warwick maintains a rigorous oversight role to ensure the facility operates in compliance with environmental standards and community interests.

Township Oversight & Advocacy

To ensure the protection of our environment and the well-being of our residents, the Township of Warwick utilizes three distinct bodies to monitor the facility’s operations:

  • Warwick Public Liaison Committee (WPLC): Acts as a bridge between the community and the facility. This committee ensures transparency, provides a forum for public concerns, and keeps residents informed about site activities.

  • Peer Review Team: A group of independent experts retained by the Township to conduct "second-opinion" reviews of all technical reports and data submitted by the facility operators.

  • Technical Review Team: Focuses on the complex engineering and compliance aspects of the site, ensuring that the physical operations meet or exceed provincial regulatory requirements.

Facility Optimization & Expansion

The facility is currently undergoing an Optimization Process. The Township’s oversight teams are closely involved in reviewing these plans to ensure that any expansion is data-driven, realistic, and prioritizes the long-term health and safety of our rural community. To read more about the Optimization process please visit WMs project page at https://www.wm.com/ca/en/twin-creeks-landfill/landfill-optimization-project
