Reducing food waste is one of the most effective ways residents can decrease household garbage and help extend the life of our shared landfill.
Food waste makes up a significant portion of residential garbage. When sent to landfill, organic materials take up valuable space and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Diverting food waste at home helps reduce environmental impact and supports sustainable waste management in Schreiber.
