Fireworks

No fireworks are legal, except public firework displays that are permitted through the City of Sparks.  Although it may be legal to purchase fireworks in some places outside of Washoe County, it is illegal to possess or use fireworks and/or pyrotechnics within the city of Sparks and Washoe County.  Penalties for possession or use of fireworks can be up to 6 months in jail and a fine up to $500 for each misdemeanor conviction and includes parents of juveniles.  Additionally, violators can be held responsible for the cost of suppressing the fire.

Fireworks may be turned in to the Sparks Fire Department, no questions asked.
